Kenmore dryer series 80 not starting all the time, when does shuts off

Dryer has been shutting off and then when you push the start button it will buzz for an extended period before it starts again.  After a few of these events it shuts off and will not make any sound and will not start.  Element is working, vent path is clear and clean.  Motor or a thermal sensor type thing?  I'm wondering about motor because after I move it around to clean and get to the back it will start, but goes through the above process again.

Reach in and turn the drum. Is it hard to turn? If so you must see what is dragging down the motor. OR it could simply be the motor.

Drum turns but is fairly stiff and does take some effort...?

What ya need to do is break it down and clean out the dryer and oil the rollers and idler. Check out the repair photos:

Thank you  .  I have the vent thing out from the back and the top picked up now.  What is the process to get the drum out so I can oil like you say and what else to check for?

You are going to need a new motor to solve this problem. Vent issues aside, it has begun to show bearing wear. Do yourself a favor and replace it before it goes out when you need it most.
