GE Making Noise Only When Doors Are Closed

Just started to have this problem. A whirring noise (fan or motor?) occurs only when both doors are closed (ie. when the door switches are depressed). The sound is coming from behind and above the ice maker area. I'm thinking it may be the evaporator fan motor. I'd like help on diagnosis and repair. Thanks!

Ive dealt with a problem like this before. What i found was that little drips of water from the evap. coils defrost cycle were dropping onto the evap. fan and built up a ice coating on the blade making a light scraping/ whirling noise. Try taking off the back and check things out. If that is your problem you'll have to clean/adjust your drain line.
