Still no water in dishwasher

Ok, now I am at a loss. Our dishwasher quit filling with water, I replaced the water inlet
valve tonite, and still no water. The float moves freely, I even removed the float switch, it seems to work fine. I noticed that when we turn off the water and press the relief button to relieve the pressure, it seems to hiss. and very little water comes out. Any suggestions would be appreciated,
