Kenmore Series 80 Won't Fill With Water

My Kenmore Series 80 washer will not fill with water when I try to turn it on.  If  I move the dial to the spin cycle it works.  However, the fill cycle and the rinse cycle does nothing. Can you help?

Check the inlet screens on the water valve. WASHER WON'T FILL
