 old refer runs all the time, stops once or twice a day then starts again.  I took off back of freezer and there is a thin layer of frost, no ice dam or blockage.  Fan is running, coils under cabinet are clean and slightly warm but not hot.  Unit only stops running if I tun thermostat setting to off.  Temp is cold, there is a thermometer inside and freezer and fridg both can be kept cold, it just runs all the time.

Replace the cold control thermostat.
