no power to performa dishwasher

my dishwasher was not that old when it just quit working for no reason. I turned it on and nothing happened. checked circuit breaker that is fine door switch seems fine also. So I need a place to begin checking and am lost if anyone could help me I would appreciate it. thanks

A good place to start would be the water valve. I do not think it will work without water in it.

Check the Power Connection Wire-Nuts behind the Toe-kick Panel.

the dishwasher possibly stopped running during a storm I am not sure because I was not home at the time. Is there some sort of a fuse inside that maybe went bad?

At the end of the day, you will need a new control board. To verify this,  access the control board by separating the door panels and removing the cover on the control. Test the black and white wires at the center of the control on the lower edge. If you see 120 volts, the control is bad.
