Attempting to repair an LG
DLG0332W gas dryer, which is not generating any heat while running. All thermostats have been tested for continuity and are all good. Sensor has continuity, as well as igniter. No major obstruction in air flow. Put dryer back together, leaving front cabinet cover off in order to view burner unit while running. Started dryer on normal cycle, igniter coil glows, gas valve opens and burner fires up. Then kicks off in a matter of seconds. Tested resistance between between contact terminals for each valve solenoid/coil, multimeter read around 1900 ohms. I understand it's supposed to be around 1100 or 1300. COuld this be a sign of a bad valve? Or just bad valve coils? And can the coils be bought separate from the entire valve assembly? Should I change hi limit thermostat anyways, even though it has continuity? I've researched this extensively and am stumped at this point. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
