Dryer Whirlpool Thermal cutoff question?

I needed to replace my thermal cutoff in my dryer.....the "kit" they gave me was, of course different  than the original.  It came with a "jumper cabel" whioch I had to  use to connect cutoff to heating element.....that left me with a left over wire!!!  An orange on...
The dryer seems to be working now, but what about that orange wire??   Tape it up and forget it??  I'm uneasy with it just hangin there....

Look to see if there is not a small terminal on the side of the new safety where that wire should go after adding a terminal on the end of it that comes in the kit...
