CampChef Propane Oven/Stove

I've got a combination oven/stove that burns propane.  One of the stove burners will not shut off.  The manufacturer sent me a gas control valve as they believe that to be the problem.  It looks like it's easy enough to replace.  What if anything should I use on the fitting threads?  Any other advise?
