Whirlpool ultimate care washer engine buzz

I have a whirlpool ultimate care washing machine approx. 5 years old that i constantly have to nudge to work.The lid switch is new a week ago,coupler appears to be fine.The washer will fill up and sometimes agitate.If not,i have to nudge or shake it to agitate.Then i hear a buzz as if the motor is trying to run but doesn't have enough juice to get going.I nudge it and it empties the water and spins.Then a buzz again,nudge(lately i'm having to lift the front and drop it!),fill;buzz,nudge to agitate;buzz,nudge to spin and empty.

I'm considering beating my laundry on a rock by the river as it would be easier than getting up on every cycle!

try tapping the motor (or this switch) carefully, maybe with a piece of wood.

Bingo!I ran the washer with the case off and the lid switch still hooked up(should've done that to begin with!) and a light tap on the motor start switch got it going.So apparently i just need to replace that switch?Looks simple enough,a screw or two to get it off and pull the connectors off the old one and attach to the new?

Check to make sure it's not a bad connection on the wire harness like in this video.

I think we have a winner!i did notice a spark towards the bottom of the plug when the motor kicked on.It was towards the bottom of the plug where the red wire was entering.The pin looked like it was a little misshaped,so i bent it a little with a dental pick and it's worked just fine for 3 loads now.
     I figure the the plug is loose enough on the motor start switch that over time the movement "stretched out" the pin so it wasn't making good contact.At least that's my highly qualified expert opinion!So i guess just keep an eye on it for a while and make sure all is well?
