Frigidaire fridge leaking on floor

This top freezer type Frigidaire FRT8B5EW2 refrigerator is 5 years old. It pudles on the floor. The drain tube is not plugged. The drain pan fits around the compressor. I poured water thru the drain and it seems to flow properly. I did not see any leak in the drain pan but it is plate below the compressor is rusted and wet. Am I missing something? Any help appreciated

the drain hose from the cabinet to the drain pan is not aligned correctly

it is either dead center and dribbling through the pan(there is a slit in the center of the drain pan where water can pass through)

or the hose is positioned so water is going into the shallow resevoir of the drain pan(it has a deep side and a shallow side)

reason you might not have seen the leak.... the pan will overflow during periods of high humidity from a combination of the hose draining into the wrong chamber of the pan, and those drain pans dont fit tightly and have little thermal paste so the water does not evaporate fast enough

first few i saw when the new drain pan came out drove me nuts till i figured it out

I think you are right on brnttoast. I looked and looked again. The hose was taped up and seemed to never have been moved but I think it was running back along the hose and dripping into the slit you mentioned. I moved it and have not heard back ( good thing )

ya, seen alot of them taped in the wrong spot right from the factory
