front display

Hi I have a fancy ge bottom mt fridge which has the temp display on the front dispensor panel. the fridge temp goes back and fourth from 86 to 88 constantely, every thing cools good but the display had gone crazy. the question is what part fixes that, theres a wr13x1055 cover asy and wr13x10550 case ice route. The diagram doesn't really tell u if its a electronic panel or not....and it has a big fancy contol board n the back too?? Is there a ge tech out there that has seen this b 4   as always tks   JPG

Better check the thermister in the FF section first. Should read about 16.7 ohms when immersed in a glass of ice with a small amount of water.

The main board in back feeds the thermister and passes the input to the front board. The main board can also cause this issue if the thermister is OK.

The alternative is a new panel part # WR13X10551 (Cover assy)

You should find a mini manual in the lower area behind the kickplate to help you. It pays to do some diagnostics before you invest in parts.

Is this the sensor located by the light bulb in the freezer section? There r several sensors unfortunately...Have u seen this problem b 4 ?,  I still can't believe how many sensors these ge boxes have !!!!!

The FF thermister is located behind the  air damper in the upper left corner.

oh sh #*#*#*#* ,  sorry repair mann.... I got confused on the names like im confused with this fancy ge stuff. I will check the thermister if ok than order a rear board if needed, r u a ge technician? tks for the good info I will let u know the out come, sooner or later I will figure out these ge fridges....tks again jpg

ok im just making sure there are 3 sensors in the fridge section I am to ck the one that sez sensor pantry sensor wr55x10732 behind air dampner? tks jpg

Check 'em all. In fact, you can read their OHMs from at the main board in back if you read the terminal designations. I will share my copy of the GE Bottom Mount Manual with you so you can git busy.

The pantry sensor and the others are shown in the following diagram:
FF Section (#104 and 119)

This thing looks suspiciously like a Samsung, what with the evap in the FF section and all.
