How do I clean the filter hose on my LG washer WM2277HW?
« on: August 11, 2009, 11:43:33 PM »
I've repeatedly drained the front left filter trap.  I'm still getting the OE code.  This LG WM2277HW washer is still not draining properly.  I've looked at the manual, but it doesn't say how to take off the filter hose, in the back, to clean it out.  Does anyone out there know how to do this?

After unplugging the beast, take off the top, then the control panel, then the front panel (includes disconnecting the door boot) and you will have access to all the hoses.  Never fun but once you do it a few times it gets easier <groan>

Something to try before that, just take off the top panel and in the left rear is a vacuum break (looks like an upside down plastic U) with a small hose connected there and to the top of the outer drum.  This can get filled with some really fun slime, and if plugged CAN cause the long drain time.  Otherwise there is something plugging the pump, hoses or the fill level sensor has a problem.

Hay part tech what about putting a wet dry shop vac to the cleanout to remove the crap in the filter hose? Would that work?

We've checked all the hoses, the trap, and the pump, it's all clear.  Suggestions?

Is the Drain Pump running ?

Is there something caught in the Pump ?

I haven't tried that one :)  but if it was in the vacuum break it would pull past it...

Sounds like the actual pump is the problem here, as RegUS_PatOff said, either something in it or not running, even if it sounds like it.
