Dishwasher Repair Cost for LE code

I have the LDF7811 with the dreaded LE code.  I followed past threads and removed the door cover but did not see any obvious broken wires, so I am thinking the pump is defective.

Also, for the past few months I have been living with the fact that the bottom arm has not been rotating.  I have verified this multiple times by setting the arm in a specific position prior to running a cycle, and it hasn't moved when the cycle is done.

So assuming it is the sump, a repair person is tellling me the cost is about $400 with parts including removal and reinstallation of the dw.  Does this seem high?  Should I just call Sears appliance repair?

$400 ?? If you call Sears, yes and then some. Besides, you need the motor assembly which comes with the pump already installed. For $134 you can fix this yourself...that is unless you feel $300 more dollars will be OK for someone to do it for you.
