Whirlpool Dryer
« on: July 26, 2009, 12:10:44 PM »
I have a whirlpool dryer Model GEW9868KQ2 which had a bad thermistor.  I changed the bad thermistor and  cleaned out the vent that was clogged.  Now I do not get any heat.  I have checked all other items and have continuity in all.  What could be the problem?

Hi,

The model number can be found on the model/serial number tag that is on the dryer.

Hope you find our website helpful.

Have ye removed a wire from every component before checking them  for continuity? Just asking.

Yes I did remove all wires prior to checking for continuity.  What should the the meter register when checking the Thermistor?  Is it enought that the meter registers?

What was the original problem with the dryer before you replace the thermistor?
