I'll share my range manual with you. It may not be for this exact model, but it certainly beats guessing

problem is that the TOP back burner gets hot when I turn on the oven switch.
the top back burner switch is in the off position.

The "top back" burner? Burners are notated LF, LR, RR, RF and center. Depending on which burner it is, the switch controlling it has welded contacts. Replace the burner control and all will be well.
