Maytag Neptune How To Drain Water

Can anyone tell me how to drain the water out. It is going to be stored in a garage where it will be below freezing.

Remove the access panel and remove the hoses from both sides of the drain pump. Let the water drain out. Re-assemble and store away.

Or the lazy way..hook up your shop vac to the drain hose.

When storing in a freezing climate, add 1 quart of anti freeze and 1 quart of water to the tub before storing. This will ensure the integrity of the pump seals while at the same time protecting the pump, etc. from the elements.

Would I mix my antifreeze 50/50 er just use straight antifreeze?

Sounds like 50/50 to me JW.

Because straight anti-freeze will deteriorate the drain hoses and pump seals. They are a different quality and composition than auto hoses.
