Maytag Range top Burner ignitor randomly sparks by itself

I have noticed that the range top burner ignitors spark randomly without turning the knobs all by itself. Don't know how often but when I walk by ocassionally I can hear it spark on it's own...is this normal?...thanks...

One of the small switches mounted in series with the igniter box is probably damp due to a boil over or going bad.

would they be the switches that are at each burner knob...if so how can you check to see which one is bad?...resistance checks?...at first I thought the spark module was going bad....should all switches be replaced?...thanks

Be sure your wall plug is polarized correctly and that this stove is not on a GFCI circuit.

they can be checked one at the time but it is tricky: Using insulated tools and gloves you would remove one wire at a time put it back then another then put it back and so on till said switch is found and you would then replace it. Harper Wyman is a leading manufacturer of these type switches by the way. Mostly the recommended thang to do is replace the whole damn harness but who has the money these days?
