The whole unit does not necessarily have to be un-installed to do this repair.
The top does come off after removing a hunnerd screws or so. If I were you, I would order and have on hand the terminal block repair kits before I did any tearing down. Once the top is off you can remove both ceramic RECEPTACLES and replace the terminals in them from the kit. To remove the main top, there are 4 screws in each cartridge bay plus 4 more inside the downdraft intake. The control pad has 2 screws holding it down in back. You should be able to lift the main top off and leave the control panel attached, just turn it so it can pass thru the opening. Be sure to turn off the breakers before you fiddle in there.
