Kenmore side-by-side ice maker not working

About 1 month ago, water started pouring out of the ice dispensor. I turned off the water supply. After a few hours, i turned the water supply on. Within a few more hours, the ice maker made 1 tray of ice. That was the last time it has made ice.
The water dispensor works properly.
Could it be a bad solenoid, stripped timing gears, or a broken on/off arm? I have stored items in the ice tray.

Pour some water in the ice maker and wait. if it makes a batch but no more then your water valve is probably bad. If it don't then your ice maker may be bad or in need of repair.
