Dishwasher buzzes

Have a dishwasher with the above Model. When you hit the start button to turn it on it makes a click like noise and starts buzzing or humming. It will start filling it up with water but it keeps buzzing. the longer it stays on, if you stop it and turn it back on you get more clicking noises and then the buzz. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the capacitor could be causing the problem or if it more of a chance its the motor.

Chances are its the motor unless something is in the food copper keeping the motor from turning.

I would remove the bottom spray arm and then the top of the pump from inside the dishwasher. There will be the top cover that you see under the spray arm that will have to be removed first and then a second cover that goes over the food chopper.

If the chopper is clear then I would remove the small toe plate on the front of the washer that is under the door.

Look back in there at the floor under the main motor to see if there is any water residue on the floor or on the bottom of the motor.

What I see happen a lot with these types of motors is the seal leaks just enough that water runs down the shaft and takes the motor out.
