GE Monogram Bottom Freezer Defrost Not Working

The defrost cycle on my fridge doesn't work.  I checked the defroster for continuity and it's fine.  I ran a diagnostic and don't find any problem other than Custom Cool Thermitor failing, but I'm not sure my refrigerator has one.  I'm not sure what to do next.

If you could successfully run the Defrost Diagnostic (1 and 4) manually, then the main board which controls the adaptive defrost is bad.

When I put defrost  (1,4) in the diagnostic it goes into defrost mode, but doesn't actually defrost.  That is the element doesn't heat up.

Could be a bad element or terminator. Check the element for continuity is what i would do next.
