On this machine i can't be certain but you flip up the top and pop the clips to tip the case forward so that you can replace the broken switch.

This is the correct lid switch for your washer, not the one JW posted.

WHIRLPOOL 3949238 Lid Switch Assembly, AP3100001

Can you hear the lid switch click on and off as you open and close the lid?

If not take a look at it to see if it's broken. Unless you have a ohm meter.
If you have a meter ohm it out.
Hope you find our site helpful.

Yeah I was just guessing about the lid switch because I could not get the model number to come up at 3 different sites and I REFUSE to go to SEARS parts site.

check the pressure switch. if its not working you won't get a spin. the lid switch can be checked by jumping the connections and seeing if it works.
good luck

The pressure switch has nothing to do with it. The lid switch is bad or the timer is bad. Verify the lid switch first.
Set the ohm meter for continuity.

The top does not pop up. You have to flip the controls up. You will see the lidswitch quick connect. The dang water pressure switch aint got a dayum thang ta do with it not spinning. Check this out:

They changed the way the Lid Switch Controls the Motor

110.24932200 = Lid Switch only stops Spin
110.24932201 = Lid Switch Stops Agitate & Spin
110.24932202 = probably Agitate & Spin

Check to see if opening the Lid will stop Agitate,
If YES, Lid Switch is good.
