Machine started intermittently not spinning/draining.  Next was a loud banging/grinding noise, but worked fine.  Now it will agitate fine but spin or drain will not work.  Any ideas?

Most of the time that is a bad pump. It turns ok on wash but the bearing locks up in spin. Easy fix. Tip the washer back and remove the belt from the bottom. Turn the pump both ways. Look for evidence of bearing seperation in the pump. This is common on these particular washers.

Hmm, loud bang, no spin...better check  for a bad lid switch after you do all the easy stuff underneath as JW suggested. The Performa manual is inside the beginning of this forum.
