ROFL! I guess I understand the "Did you mount it properly" comment...and yes. it was mounted correctly.
As I noted, there's been a revision since the washer was built, and the best way I can explain it is that between the center of rotation of the actuator lever and the center of the two mounting holes, the replacement part (Genuine FSP) was just a tiny bit shorter than the original one.
I called the parts place I deal with, explained the problem to them, and they agreed that it wasn't right. The parts guy called his warehouse, explaine it to them, they dug around, compared parts of the same number and found one that is an exact fit for my machine. Even the warehouse said they could see the very slight difference.
I took the entire top off the washer when I went back to the parts house so they could see what the problem was...we test fit the new replacement switch and it's perfect.
