Not a very handy guy here and I hate messing with electricity so I want to make sure I'm not messing with anything i shouldn't be. Here's the deal, we had a transformer blow out last week and it sent a surge to our house, blowing out lights (literally) and apparently killing the power to our GE Adora dishwasher. I flipped the breaker back and everything else in the kitchen is still working except for our coffee pot, that got smoked too. There is absolutely no power at all to the control panel of the dishwasher. There is no obvious black marks in any of the sections of the door or the control circuit board. There seems to be some blackening around the screw and ground wire that is attached to the frame behind the kick panel though. Is the likely problem the fuses in the door by the latch? Any help would be appreciated.
