same temp, diff season

why is it, that in winter 75 is too cold in my house, yet in summer its too hot?
is it all about the humidity everyone complains about that i always thought was bunk BS
just cleaned off the central air tonight and fired it up, so still waiting to see if she still works properly this season
and yes, almost july and i just had to turn on the a/c, this is canada, i just replaced frost damaged plants 2 weeks ago :/

yet, in winter, when it gets to 40F in Wisconsin,
we go outside without a coat ...

What we need to do is figure out how to visit each other during severe weather. You could come live down here in winter and I could live up there in summer. We have heat advisory. Heat index is 110 degrees. 75 would be wonderful here right now. Hell it don't get below 75 at night right now. Check out the latest advisory. Even with thunderstorms every night the low never goes below 78:

Not to make ya'll feel any better, but it's been around 108 in the afternoons here for a solid week now...at night it goes down to 95. My pool is luke-warm now  :(

I live so far away from anybody that I don't have to wait till nightime to skinnydip...nobody but the buzzards can see me, and they're not impressed. I did make a few deer nervous, though  :)
