Maytag Proforma PYE4500AZW no workee

Problem==> no spin no light not a sound except for the ticking of the timer, when 220V fuse is thrown ticking stops. Seems like no power to the parts only to the panel. Tried removing the T-O-D switch and testing its functionality, with no problems there. This model is very simple and has no electronics just a timer and a buzzer, no LED's. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it has been raining here for the past 4 days and i don't think my coworkers are appreciating it very much. Thanks for the help.

The fuse on this dryer is located next to the heating element. It usually blows because their is a blocked filter housing or a loose blower wheel. To get to the fuse you pop the top, remove the long screw that holds down the heating element. The fuse is mounts with a metal clip that is held by that long screw. Get the front off and clean out the blower housing inspect the blower wheel.

I believe the fuse JW is talking about is #5 on the diagram, part # LA-1053.

I pulled the fuse and it had no continuity across it, looks like i need to get a new one. I'll try to jump it temporarily to make sure this is infact the problem. Numbers on the part are 36F14 20021 L300F 53-1182 A0305, i'll have to look locally to see if i can find one if not i'll look online. Thanks for help and i will post the results of my findings.

Ok, just tested it and dryer works fine with the fuse jumped. I'm not gonna run it with out the proper fuse installed that is just asking for way too much trouble, i'll wait until i get the part before i use the dryer again. Thanks again for the useful posts and this great website !!
