LG Front Loader Washer 0E code
« on: June 18, 2009, 10:23:07 AM »
LG WM2277HS - Getting an 0E code, tried to drain water from drum with the drain hose next to filter but no water will come out. Ebded up turning filter to drain drum. (very messy). Why could I not use the drain hose to empty the water in the drum? Could this be the cause of my 0E code?

Might be you have a clog in the drain. The unit has a cap built over that pump to remove in case of blockage, did you inspect that?

Looks like they is a small door on da bottom left that contains the pump filter. Open the door and get the stuff out that filter. Or did yall do that yet?

Sounds like you have already drained it through the pump filter, and I assume cleared any junk out of the basket, now use a pair of bent needlenose plyers and see if there is something stuck in the opening to the pump motor (the hole on the left side of the filter opening).  Also if you take the top off on the rear wall of the washer is what looks like an upside down trap with a small hose running over to the wash drum. make sure nothing is stuck in the 'trap' part and that the small hose is clear.  The trap and hose is just a vacuum break but I have seen them get blocked and causte the OE error.

Is there a service manual available for this washer? I am trying to find the easiest way to remove the pump to inspect and troubleshoot. I found the drain plug full of sand, it would not allow the tank to drain. I cannot feel anything obstructing the drain hose. I can hear the pump trying to drain the tank but no water is allowed to exit the tank. I have tried to get to the pump from the rear, but this is pretty cumbersome. I gotta believe these covers come off allowing easier access to the pump up front.
Any help will be appreciated!

The pump is right there behind that filter screen on lower left front. Why not get a wet dry shop vac and suck all that sand out of the pump? I would try that. It is a lot of trouble getting the front panel off.
I been reading the manual The OE display means you is supposed to flip down that flap on the lower left hand side and get that filter out and clean it and you can get coin and strings and such from there because that is the pump sump.
