Kenmore Dishwasher - need to remove bottom assembly

A few coins got into the silverware basket and were blown out of the basket by the water pressure.  Several slid down to the bottom where they were carried toward the water evacuation tubes and have settled underneath some large white plastic housing at the bottom of the interior of the machine.  There are white plastic fin-like vertical pieces in a circle underneath the housing to prevent larger items from getting past, but the coins slid by.  I am guessing they are too large to be evacuated, but they are now past my reach.

I can remove the washer arm, but do not know how to remove this while plastic housing assembly which is underneath the arm. I can see the coins, so if I can remove this housing, I should be able to fix the problem before it causes real problems.  Thanks.

Remove the 4 Torx screws on the white plastic part and it should lift right off.

Thanks for the reply.  Unfortunately there are not 4 torx screws.  There were 8 holding down a slightly yellowish saucer shaped plastic housing to which the sprayer attached.  I did remove that and the attached picture reflects what is left.  I see nothing to remove the white plastic piece remaining.  There is a single small bolt in the center of the unit (black plastic area), but the white plastic piece seems so solidly mounted that it seems unlikely that little bolt has that tight of a grip on the unit even at its perimeter.  Any suggestions?

Ok take the 8 screws out and it should lift right off.

That black plastic part is the impeller you have to remove it to get the cover off that you are trying to get to. You have to hold it with one hand or a wrench to remove the bolt.

Got it.  I tried to remove it but no matter which way I turn the bolt, there is significant resistance.  Can you tell me which way it SHOULD turn to loosen?  I assume counter clockwise (the old "lefty loosie"), but it turns a bit and then gets very tight.  I tried the opposite direction, and same thing - it turned a bit and then tightened.  I would prefer not to make it worse, so I thought I'd ask before I charged ahead.

I do believe it's a standard thread they can be sticky,  sometimes you have to bust up the impeller to get it out.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.  Your guidance was perfect.  It allowed me to gain access without damaging the unit and I was able to retrieve the 11 dimes that had settled in the bottom - plus a couple of other small items that have settled there over time.
