Front loader goes up in smoke

Folks,
My relatively new washer went up in smoke this evening. It was in the final spin cycle full of colors, and I noticed it was making a bit more noise than normal, and perhaps a little odd, but didn't pay much attention. I started smelling burning rubber, and by the time I got to the machine (and the fire alarm was going off) and opened the laundry room door, smoke rolled out in clouds. The machine was still running, with 1 minute left on the timer. I shut it off using the "pause" button. unloaded the clothes into the dryer (at least they're clean, i think) and unplugged the unit.
I guess I get to tear this thing apart. I"m exactly 46 days outside of my 1 year warranty. I don't see an adjustment mechanism for the belt in the diagram to take it apart.
Ideas? Advice?
Thanks

Fortunately for you, the
GE Frontload Washer manual
is on this Forum, so you should have no trouble reading about this machine, including the fact that the belts do not have any type of tensioners. Once you read how to access the machine, you'll likely find the board fried down below.
