Hi There,
My friends dryer is making a squeak like a hampster wheel when running.
Other than the noise it works fine.
I'm thinking maybe rollers, or belt tensioner wheel ?
Let me know what you guys think. She is low on cash and asked me to look at it.
I'm pretty handy, and have done repairs to my washer before, as well as converting my dryer from natural gas to LP. So I'm confident I can fix this issue.
Thanks,
Justin

Behind the dryer section of this stack job is an access panel to the idler. Get some zoom spout oil from ace hardware and oil that idler. Their is also a hole in the dead center of the back of the dryer that the static discharge ball attaches from the rear bearing. Sometimes you can put a little zoomoil on that and stop the squel and the zoomoil is heat resistance and non flamable. Just a tad will do it. Let me know.

Finally got over to her house to fix it. Thanks So Much, Your advice was right on !!
A little oil to the hole in the back of the dryer fixed the noise.
I also oiled the idler and the motor, to prevent any other noises. She was worried that it was no good. Only 2 bucks for the oil. THANKS AGAIN !!

If it keeps squeaking you needs to replace the bearing or the drum mount will fail. Not good.
