Tomorrow is the big day to tackle the dryer and the demonic dust bunnies. Is there some place other than online where I can pick this fuse up? (Hey, in the interest of "business", I promise to refer lotsa people to this site...)

Any place that does appliance repair should have them.

You know, you amaze me. Thank you for the offer and the kindness.

We found a fuse (Sears), installed it and now we're getting a CF 1 (I think... I am currently trying to display codes again.)

I was sooooo hoping it was just the fuse.

Unplug the machine for a minute or two and plug it back in and press cancel 2 times, this resets the computer inside, If it is flashing CF 01,02,03- it may a electronic control board problem. Maybe someone else can come up with a solution. I am old school. I am learning these new machines too. Not used to working on these fancy Mex-asiantronics.

It looks like a CF1 might be the default code for "standard auto cycle". An CF2 will give you 15% more dry time (found this in the Adjusting Customer Focused Drying Modes).... We have yet to get this puppy running, but this might be a clue.

Here's where we are now at consistently... F30, F28 and and E2. No more CF1.

Will the codes still be visible if the problem is fixed? F30 is airflow and I don't see diddly. The F28 is on again, off again. And the E2 is something we're gonna have ta look into.

Are thermistors pretty standard across all product lines, manufacturers and years? My neighbor has an ol' Kenmore 700 series washer and he will let me raid it for parts. These things have thermistors too, right? And would it be the same?

Yes, I know its a long shot, but Sears is now closed and I was thinking of trying to replace the dang thermistor.

This is driving me bonkers. I am tired of clothes coming out crusty off the clothes line!

Start with a new electronic control W10111616
Then if the E2 shows up again, also replace the User Interface Board

or, you can diddle around for another week or so with thermisters, etc. that won't fix the issue.
