Kenmore 70 electric dryer no heat

First what a great site.
I have a Kenmore 70 electric dryer that is not heating. I have checked the electrical connections from the breakers through to where the pigtail connects and all is good. I have checked the continuity on the various connections on the thermo cut offs and thermostats. Everything checked out fine except the cycling thermostat. It has 4 prongs and the top and bottom show continuity but the right and left do not. Before I buy and replace the cycling thermostat I wanted to make sure I am headed in the right direction. Bias thermostats with 4 terminals...the lower terminals must have continuity for the dryer to heat. The 2 terminals on the upper half of this stat are a small heater coil which makes the thermostat get hot quickly to simuate a certain temp. The upper wires are connected to the heat selector switch above and send 240 volts thru the thermostat heater when needed. You are only concerned with the lower large terminals showing continuity.

Have you checked continuity thru the element?
