Peforma Dryer Won't Start

My Maytag Performa Electric dryer won't start.  I think maybe it overrheated (lint build-up).  It's getting power, and the power/ground wires are tight at the terminals.  The door switch has continuity when closed.  The safety thermostat has continuity across the terminals (don't know if it's supposed to or not).

Your help & recomendations will be appreciated.

The fuse is blown. Check the blower wheel and filter housing before changing the fuse. You will find the fuse mounted right next to the heater element inside the upper rear bulkhead. It is held by a clip. The same screw that holds down the heater element holds down the fuse.

Found it.  The fuse is indeed open.  DO you sell the fuse alone or do I need to buy the t-stat kit?

you can get the fuse alone or the fuse kit comes with 2 fuses.

Get the kit, as it comes with a high-limt safety thermostat which needs to be changed also. Unless you are running foil duct or have a long clogged vent, theres a chance the high limit might not be doing it's job. Get the LA-1053 kit and be done with it.
