Dishwasher soap dispenser not operating to dispense detergent

How do I fix this problem. I know it uses a bimetal of some sort

The service manual for these models is HERE.
All you had to do was look up "bimetal" with the model number and you would have arrived at this:

The thing sits behind the front panel, as you might have surmised.
