G.E. Eterna Top Load Washing Machine

Hello,

        My washing machine was in fill mode. After Filling to set level
       the machine stopped working. It acts as if there no power
       source. Pushing the on/off has no response. I checked the
       breaker and re-set it. Re-checked washer, still nothing. I
       checked dryer which is on the same circuit and it started as
       normal. Any thought of where to start? Thank You.

I would check for continuity on the lid switch. the washer won't operate with the lid open.

          Thanx for the reply. You stated the lid switch will keep
         the machine from operating. How do I check this with the
         machine not appearring to have any power? I understand that
         the machine of course stops aggitating when the lid is open,
         But in this mode the machine under normal operating
         conditions will have the control board lit up even while the
         lid is open. Maybe I misunderstood what you are telling me
         to do which wouldn't surprise myself. Thank you for the help.
