Maytag washer does not spin

I a Maytag washer model lat8626aa3 serial number 15160389sh.

The washer does not spin on occasion. If I change the setting the washer spins fine.  For example during the normal wash cycle one out of three times the washer  just stop on the final rinse cycle and it does not spin out.. If I restart it to permanent press it works fine

Any suggestions
