O-24BT Corning Double Wall Oven

On another forum a gentleman was asking about his double wall oven made by Corning Glass Works. New one on me. I'm sure it was made by someone else and rebadged but by who?   Anyone ever see one? His problem is the top oven door falls open and won't stay up. I'm sure it's a simple hinge/spring type repair. I suggested he take off the parts and go to an appliance parts store and try for a parts matchup. Thanks.

Corning does not make wall ovens. They made the tempered glass that  covered most of them and the ranges back in the 60's and 70's and the word "Corning" was prominently displayed on the front. They also made the first ceramic cooktops that later became what is known today as Ceran.

Most likely that is a Modern Maid oven with the model you described. And no, the hinges and door springs won't be available  for an old model like that. I saw the article you were describing on the "other forum".
