When you say the "hose from the garbage disposal", do you mean the hose that goes from the dishwasher -> sink overflow thing, or from the sink overflow -> garbage disposal? 

I'm thinking you are talking about a siphon break on the back rim of your sink. If it is, take the hose off coming from dishwasher and  if it's long enough, bypass the siphon break and hook it temporarily to the disposal. Try the drain again. It somehow sounds like a restriction on the washer side of siphon break. It’s worth a shot.

Well that worked!  So I guess all I need to do is buy a new siphon break?  I noticed with the hose direct to the garbage disposal I had to run the disposal or else it would slowly start to fill the sink.  Thanks again!

You also need a new garbage disposer....one that grinds up the food so that it does not back up the drain when the dishwasher discharges. You should not need a siphon break device at all as long as the drain hose can be raised higher than the discharge end at the disposer.

Well when I ran it like this to test it the drain hose was not much higher then the disposal...it was about level.  Im going to pick up a new siphon break and will keep you updated.

Ok guys the new siphon break works. Dishwasher is back to 100%. The sink drains perfectly and does not overflow. Thanks a lot to all who helped.

As far as a siphon break going bad, all I can relate to is the stem the hose from the washer goes to, collapsed where the clamp fastened to it. That made the passage so small water could barely get through, not to mention food particles from washer. There’s easy ways around siphon breaks, but if you ever need one, you’ll be glad it’s there. Pick up a new one, but don’t reef-down on the clamp too hard. On most, the stem is cheap plastic with warm water passing through.
