As far as a siphon break going bad, all I can relate to is the stem the hose from the washer goes to, collapsed where the clamp fastened to it. That made the passage so small water could barely get through, not to mention food particles from washer. There’s easy ways around siphon breaks, but if you ever need one, you’ll be glad it’s there. Pick up a new one, but don’t reef-down on the clamp too hard. On most, the stem is cheap plastic with warm water passing through.
