Maytag dryer buzzes when start button pushed

Maytag dryer squealed loudly  while running. Replaced belt and idler pulley wheel, didn't fix squeal. Now but started to smell hot.  Got it started and smelled funny within one minute, so opened door to see if something was burning....all clear,  but was hot and smelled funny.   closed door and will not start.  Just loud buzz. Now does not start ONLY loud buzz (same sound as end of cycle buzz)  Replaced blower wheel, no luck, replaced idler wheel and belt and front glides, no luck.  Changed motor...the shaft or end bell was way off center so was told to replace motor.  It is all cleaned and thought was repaired. It does nothing but buzz when the start button is pushed!, no matter how long you hold button down. Drum manually rotates fine, belt OK...!! Help  what do I do next?

Check the heater coil with your OHM meter to see if the coil is grounded to the metal housing. Check each terminal to ground.

Also go around back where the cord connects and check the cord terminals.

It would seem that the Timer Contacts #1 are bad.

You could test it by jumpering L1 Yellow/Black to Grey

You made no mention of the rollers.
Did you check them?
