maytag performa washer keeps filling

The water keeps filling in my washer model PAC2360AWW. I didn't catch it and it continued to fill for more than 4 hours, flooding the basement.

How did you get the washer to stop filling with water?

If you were able to turn the washer off or unplug it to stop the water then you may have a bad timer.

If you had to turn the water off to stop the water flow then the water fill valve was stuck open and will need to be replaced.

Most of the time when this happens it's because the water fill valve got stuck open.

I tried to look up the part number for your timer and water valve, but I could not find the information using the model number (PAC 2360AWW) you posted.

Are you sure that is the correct model number?

Check the airline tubing running up the back left side of the tub. If it got way off balance, as Performas will do, then the hose may have been cut or jerked loose.
