Hi,

Please look for the model number and post it here.
You should be able to find the full model number on the model/serial number tag that is located on the appliance.

check to make sure the compressor is running first
if the compressor runs and the unit is warm inside then you probably have a system leak

now the real bad news.... the sealed sytem on the skyboxes is not servicable, at least last time i looked into parts for one myself

its a shame, those sure are a snazzy lil unit

That's right, Brnt...the sealed systems are not repairable and any non-cooling complaints we got on them at Maytag required a new unit be sent out. Haier only made them for us for 2 years, but there were a lot of them sold at HD.

Please tell me these were made in China. That would explain everything.

I have the same Model Skybox. Can anyone tell me if the circulating fan is supposed to switch on/off, as does the compressor? My fan seems to stay on all the time, regardless of the temperature control setting. Maytag's customer service dept. says it's supposed to switch on and off, but I don't know what would control just the fan, in order to try and fix it, if it's truely not functioning properly?
Any help for owners or experts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The skybox interior fan runs all the time. The compressor cycles on and off with the thermostat. All drink boxes are set up like this to maintain even temps throughout the  box.

:) My Skybox quit cooling and I replaced the compressor starter relay. I works fine now. You can buy a universal solid state relay at any appliance parts store.

Have started back up on the skybox and found that the fan was not working. I tested it and it was ok. I checked the circuit board near the fan and found a burnt lug inside where the cable plugs. I ordered a new board and still no fan. I checked the ribbon cable and found the connector was corroded and burnt off as well. Now I have a problem. The ribbon cable is a discontinued part. I am wondering if anyone out there would either know how I might be able to get one. Thanks and I'm almost complete.

have finally repaired my skybox. I replaced the connector on the end of the cable. The fan is running and it is back to cooling again. Can't wait to refill it.
