Amana Microwave Noisy and No Heat-

Often times when they run noisy and don't heat it's something on the high voltage side.

This means it could be the hight voltage transformer, the magnetron or the high voltage diode.

At best it would only need the diode replaced.

How old is the microwave?

It's most likley the diode.

1) What does the noise sound like?
2) Is there an odor when running? Strong odor usually will be from the magnetron.
