Dryer vent for an LG DLG5932

I've recently moved the location of my LG DLG5932 dryer.  This necessitated installation of a new dryer vent.  It was installed by a licensed Plumber.  The dryer vent is a total of appriximately 16- 18 feet with two 90 degree elbows.  The duct is 3" rigid.  

Basically there is a 90 degree bend which takes the vent 6' vertically and another 90 which runs 10' horizontally which gets me to a louvered vent outdoors.

Recently the dryer stopped heating (it an Liquid Propane dryer) had a tech out he replaced a part not sure what he replaced. The same day the dryer stopped working.  It would tumble but not heat.  The tech came back to my house "reset" the dryer siconnected it from the vent and the dryer works.  He commented that he felt the dryer vent was to restrictive.  1) Does this make sense to anyone? 2) How do you reset the dryer?

Most manufacturers fit within this ruleof thumb 60' of lenght less 10' for every 90 deg. elbow.  Check and see if the installer or tech left something blocking the vent or holding the flap down.

UH...you cannot run 3" vent to a dryer, only to a water heater.

All dryers must have 4" duct. There's your issue.


BTW, when calculating vent runs, add 5 feet for every 90 degree elbow. Therefore you have approximately 28+ feet of duct the dryer must force air thru.
