front load ge washer error code E4F

I have a ge front end loader that has the error code E4F.  from the book, the E4F code means inverter control board is bad.  anyone know how much that is and if it is a job that can be tackled by a novice?

okay, thank you. One last thing.. where would this part be found on the machine.. is it in the front where the dial is or would i have to open the back of the unit to get to it?

okay, fair enough.  The manual is at the office, so I am going what is on the receipt.. hope this is the model number: wcvh6260fww

whiile we are on the subject, would the part number on the inverter that I got prior to anyone getting the model number from me still be the same part I need?

The part number for your inverter board is WH12X10418
Do not go by part numbers that are stamped on the actual parts, since they are modified frequently. You'll find the inverter on the floor of the cabinet behind the lower front panel on the left side of the machine.

The GE front load manual is at this forum as well, so there should be no problem replacing this part.
