Maytag dishwasher shaft
(1/1)

Or should I say shafted by Maytag. I have a 3.5 yr old dishwasher with a broken plastic shaft on one of the rack adjuster wheels. The adjuster is NLA. A redesigned adjuster is $32. Lever assy. is $8. Cap is $4.20, Screws (11) are $4.20 each. Making a total of $90.40 for one side. Since the design is different that makes a total of $180 because Maytag won't supply parts for a 3.5 yr old dishwasher.
Oh yes I tried various bushings, etc. from ACE hardware but the wheel shaft is slightly smaller than 3/8".
Maytag offered me a 15% discount on a new dishwasher. I told them Maytag would be the last appliance I would buy again. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Interesting, I bet they last longer then anything else on the dishwasher.
