Now something else wrong Neptune Washer!!!!!!!!!

Lost count of repairs on Neptune Model Mah4000AWW washer. New timer twice, entire new board once, something replaced on the board at least twice............NOW it is making a grinding humming type noise anytime the drum is turning AND it does not go into final high speeed spin. Took belt off and turned on.....grinding humming noise even though drum not turning.....I am guessing the motor is bad?? Any help at all would be wonderful, have a wife and daughter that are about to lose it over this.

If it made the noise with just the motor running I would say you are correct.

The only other two placed I have seen noise come from on these washer is the water pump and the tub bearings.

Being you removed the drive belt and it still made the noise that would eliminate the tub bearings as the tub would need to be turning for the bearing to make any noise.
