Ice Dispenser Stopped Working

Kenmore Coldspot S/S ice dispenser suddenly stopped working.  Press the dispenser lever and nothing.  Whatcha think?

I would check the door switch, If it goes bad then it would be like the door is open. and when the door is open the ice dispenser aint sposed to wurk.

Thanks for that, but seems the switch is working.  It does turn the light off and on.  Also, if it matters, the flap will open to allow the ice out when the lever is depressed.  But I am the one depressed because I don't got no ice!  Other ideas?

There are 2 switches in the door one for light and one for ice. If you have the door open and push a switch and the light goes OFF. Push the other switch and hold it.

Can y'all help an ignorant redneck here?  I find the light switch on the upper left front of the freezer wall.  But for the life of me, I cannot find another switch.  Do I need a GPS?  Or can you give me a clue as to where to look.  Thanks.

Look down below near the bottom front of the freezer opening.
If you only have one switch push and hold it while you activate the ice maker switch.

I could not find a second switch.  When I depressed and held the only switch, still could not get ice when pressing the ice lever.

Try this. First lets verify if we have power at the door dispenser, does the light turn on, can you dispense water? If so, open the door, remove the ice chest, press on the door switch,lights should go off, at the same time depress the dispensing lever, do this ice with the selector on crush and cube. On crush position only the ice maker screw drive motor should turn, on cube position the motor should turn and you should hear a solenoid snap loudly.

Some times ice accumulates and can jam the solenoid and the motor, just be sure you rule out ice before moving forward.

If the motor does not turn but you can hear/feel the solenoid then the fault is likely to be in the motor, if the the motor does not turn and the solenoid does not activate then the lever microswitch are likely to be the problem.

I ran the diagnostics you suggested.  The motor does not turn on either crush or cube.  Also, there is no sound/feel of a solenoid engaging in the cube position.  Are you of the opinion the lever microswitch is the problem?  Also, are ther any instructions available regarding replacing the microswitch?  Thanks for your help.
