Great, but if it's so free why don't he just post the information on his site instead of asking for your email address in exchange for the free plumbing info?

You can view all the info here on the AJ site without having to register or give anyone your email address.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't care for sites that ask for my email address in exchange for other information that they claim is free.

It is seven parts and each week he sends it in an e mail. I have encountered no problem.  :)

About the icons: The beer is tip link, if a tech saves ya some money buy em a 6 pack. The small green square=personal message. The green dot is a link to my web page on appliance repair and other general BS I love to post. The letter sends me email.

You may have a point, but if they  want to do more than look, such as post a question or buy parts, of course a valid email address is reqired. Nobody is stupid enough to let anyone post without registering, and doing so properly.
